Very rarely does a client, driving home from their first visit with me, think, “Oh! I forgot to mention an important piece of information.” Sometimes… but rarely. The first visit is exhaustive in the gathering of information. And it’s wise never to presume to know what information is pertinent, and what is not. This is why it is so important to spend adequate time on the questionnaire — to give it one’s full attention. Client's are often surprised by what is revealed by seemingly unrelated information.

Briefly then, an initial consultation includes a four hour exploration of…

• Your history,
• Your current condition,
• Your goals and expectations,
• Your current level of committment to changing your condition.

During that time you will receive...

• Examination of relevant systems,
• Diagnosis/es,
• Prognosis of outcome,
• Guidance for your own participation,
• Appropriate treatment,

…and perhaps more information than may be assimilated in one sitting. But not to worry — you'll be given a pen and plenty of paper on which to take notes!
